Mackie Kim Scott, 59, of Big Lake, Texas, passed away June 1, 2020. “Kim” was born on September 16,1960 to Tony Howard and Sheila Gail Jones in San Angelo, Texas. She had two sons she loved with all her heart, Tony Nance, who passed away as a toddler and Shawn Grove. Kim loved to work outside and could probably outwork most men. There was never a limit to her abilities. Her most recent job was running the Big Lake Answering Service just as her mother had. Along with this task she took on the job of being caregiver for her mother Sheila Gail Jones until her passing on June 3, 2017. Kim will be remembered for her love and compassion for anyone she crossed paths with. She was always there with a helping hand in anyway possible. She loved animals and at one point had a bobcat as a pet, that she taught to use the toilet. Most of all, Kim loved and cherished her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She would swell up with pride at any opportunity to brag. They will miss her greatly. She is survived by her son, Shawn Grove and wife Nichele; grandchildren, Matty Chambers, Jax and Clair-Bear Grove, all of Stephenville; sister Tammy Smalley and husband Bob of Rose Bush, Michigan; sister Pearl “PJ” Herriage and brother-in-law Jerry Herriage of Big Lake; step-father Jimmy Jones of Big Lake; nieces and nephews Jena Smalley, Tyler and wife Kara Smalley of Rose Bush, Michigan, and Amber Long of Big Lake; great-nieces and nephews Trevor Isham, Troy Smith, Madison Isham, Cara Long, Colton Seeley and Ryleigh Smalley. She was preceded in death by her parents; Tony Howard and Sheila Gail Jones; son Tony Nance; grandmother Welcome Siegenthaler, Uncle Mack and Aunt Betty Siegenthaler and several cousins.
