Alice Luna Reyes, 73, went to be with the Lord Monday morning, May 25, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones.
Alice Reyes was born October 19, 1946, in San Angelo, to Lily Samarripa and Fidel Luna. She was five years old when her mother, Lily, died of tuberculosis. Shortly after, her second mom entered her life. Eunice was very special and dear to her. Alice was a 1966 graduate of Central High School and received her associate degree in accounting from American Commercial College. She married Juan Reyes, Sr. on July 30, 1966, in San Angelo. Alice was a florist until her retirement on November 1, 2019. She loved working with flowers, reading books, and spending time with her grandchildren. Alice had the warmest heart and was a loving friend to many.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Juan Antonio Reyes, Jr.; a daughter, Susy Castaneda and husband Eddie of Abilene; son, Juan Reyes, Jr. and wife Alicia of San Angelo; six grandchildren, Alisha and husband Corey, Emma, Luke, Nicholas, Alison, and Alina; two great granddaughters, Adalynn and Brynlee; two sisters, Mary Ellen Jones and husband Ernest of San Angelo, Rosemary Martinez and husband Elizar of North Richland Hills; one brother, Fidel Luna, Jr. and wife Rachel of San Angelo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Alice is preceded in death by her mom, Lily Samarripa; her parents, Fidel and Eunice Luna; her infant son, Ricardo “Dickey” Reyes.
Family and friends are invited for a time of come and go fellowship from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM Saturday, May 30, 2020 followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 2:30 PM Saturday at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Eddie Castaneda. Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
