Gladis M. Nichols, 89, of Waxahachie, passed away on May 24, 2020. She was born on December 23, 1930 in San Angelo, TX to Sylvestor and Fannie Templeton. Gladis began her career in Business, working for Nichols Refrigeration as co-owner. Gladis married Ben Nichols on February 13, 1948 and had 4 children. She had a passion for traveling across the United States. Gladis will always be remembered for her love of her family and friends and the Lord our God. She was preceded in death by her husband Ben; grandson Ben III and her 10 siblings and their spouses. Gladis is survived by Benny and Debbie, Debbie and Charley Boles, Yvonne and Chuck Groves and Wayland Nichols. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home with burial to follow in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the many family and friends for all your prayers, food, lodging and kindness to our family in our time of need.
