Janet Delanko Miller, 67, of San Angelo passed away on February 7, 2020 at her home.
She was born on January 19, 1953 to Harry and Eleanor Miso Delanko in Rochester, PA. She graduated from Hopewell High School in Aliquippa, PA, in 1970.
She married Glenn Miller in March of 1971 in Ripley, NY, and soon became an Air Force wife, accompanying Glenn to California, Maryland, Texas, West Germany and the U.S. Embassy in the Soviet Union.
Janet and her family arrived in San Angelo in 1989 and decided to make it their home after Glenn’s retirement from active duty with the Air Force in 1994.
Janet was a civil servant for the Department of the Army and Department of the Air Force for 26 years, retiring from Goodfellow Air Force Base in 2012.
She loved life, God and the Pittsburgh Steelers (and sometimes the Washington Redskins). Janet she was an avid reader, wonderful cook and baker and active volunteer in many different activities in San Angelo (and at every posting where Glenn served). She never met a stranger, making friends in San Angelo and across the states in her travels. She also loved her many cats.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, three brothers, Robert, Charles and Timothy, and sister, Marilyn. She is survived by her husband, Glenn, daughter Natalie Miller of Spring Hill, Florida, daughter Kira Kilgore (Jon) of Layton, Utah, brother, Lawrence Delanko of Bradenton in Florida and brother, Bruce Delanko of Davidsonville, Maryland.
The Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brandon Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
