Ernestine Marie Crenwelge Wilson, 84, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Ernestine was born December 17, 1935 in San Angelo, Texas to Edgar Crenwelge and Louise Hooker Crenwelge. She grew up in San Angelo and attended schools there. She and her family also lived in Big Lake during her younger years as well. Ernestine married the love of her life, Dennis E. Wilson, on March 11, 1953 in San Angelo. They shared 66 beautiful years together raising three children. Ernestine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. During her lifetime she worked for Levi Strauss & Company, R.G. Barry, C & W Enterprises and lastly Albertsons, retiring from there in 1998. In her spare time, she loved sewing, working crossword puzzles, traveling all over the U.S. with her husband and visiting casinos. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and taking care of them. Ernestine had a strong faith in the Lord. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church here in San Angelo and enjoyed reading her bible daily. Ernestine was also a formidable woman of strength and courage and knew how to lead with out saying a word. She gave her love and her time to her family freely and with out hesitation. Ernestine’s life and great love of family and the Lord will remain in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss her! She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Chester Crenwelge, her sister, Christine Baker, her son, Clifton Edward Wilson, and her daughter, Denise Wilson Austin. Ernestine is survived by her husband Dennis E. Wilson, of San Angelo; her son, Robert Wilson, of San Angelo; her Grandchildren, Loren Wilson, Misty Hawkins and her husband Justin, Kelly Haggart and her husband Kevin and Stacy Stagman and her husband Mark, Michael Wilson and his wife Emily and Thomas Wilson and his wife Laura; her Brother, Gene Crenwelge and his wife Donna, of Ruidoso, NM; numerous nieces and nephews, great grandchildren and a huge extended close family. The visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 6, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Eckert officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
