Sharon Ann (Lehr) McMillan, 75, passed away January 1, 2020, after a long battle with dementia. Sharon was born December 23, 1944, in San Angelo, Texas to Emmitt and Ida Lehr. She married Hulin Richard McMillan on May 27, 1967, in Wall, Texas. She graduated from Southwest Texas with a degree in education in 1967. She is a Christian and loved Jesus.
She loved children, sewing, quilting, cooking, interior decorating, designing, camping and life.
She worked with the church and girl scout activities. She was a stay at home mom for her children’s early years. She taught school for 25 years in Duncanville, Amarillo Airforce Base, and San Angelo, Texas, where she retired in 2001.
She had one son and one daughter, Steve and Amy. She is survived by her husband, Richard, son Steve (Karen) McMillan, daughter Amy (Jim) Arnold and grandchildren, Mason and Carissa McMillan as well as Sarah, Ally, and Kyle Arnold, three brothers, Wayne (Betty) Lehr, Stuart (Deanna) Lehr, George (Brenda) Lehr, 6 nieces, and 11 nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Ida Lehr. Thanks to all who helped care for Sharon over all the years of her illness.
A Rosary will be held at 6:00pm at Harper Funeral Home on Sunday, January 5, 2020. Visitation to follow at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be at 10:00am at Holy Angels Catholic Church on Monday, January 6, 2020. Burial will be at 3:00pm at Stacy Cemetery near Doole, Texas.
