Alegra Baker, 75, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018.
Alegra was born to Ray and Lottie Mae Owers on December 7, 1942 in Alexandria, Louisiana. She grew up in Louisiana in Grant Parish attended Pollock High School graduating and going on to attend college.
Alegra married the love of her life Howard Baker in Pollock Louisiana on January 5, 1970. Alegra was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Aunt. She was a member of TOPS and Santa Fe Trail Ride.
Alegra worked for Shannon at the St. John’s campus. Alegra is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Howard Baker, son Tommy Baker, parents Ray and Lottie Mae Owers; and brother Harold Owers.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her sons: Paul Kirtland and wife Alice of Grapecreek, TX; Billy Kirtland and wife Becky of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and their children Belinda Marie Kirtland of Denton, her children Kiai, and Oliver, and Billy Kirtland Jr. of Saginaw, his daughter Olivia, Patrick Kirtland of Lake Worth; and David Baker his wife Brandee of Ft. Worth, Texas, their children Cody Baker of Abilene, Mason Baker of Ft. Worth, and Baylee Baker; two brothers Gene Baker and wife Gwen, and Jerry Owers; nieces Tabatha Baker and Terri Andrews; Nephews Tommy Baker and Theo Baker; dear friends Ruth Halfmann, and Marilyn Parsons; along with numerous other family and close friends.
A Graveside service will be held at Grapecreek Cemetery at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2018.
