Bud F. Taylor, 63, of San Angelo, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 in Lubbock.
He was born to the late, Wayne and Willa Dean Sheppard Taylor on July 9, 1955 in McCamey, Texas. He married the sunshine of his life, Rita Seymour on April 21, 2012 in Pampa, Texas.
Bud was a gentleman that left a mark on all those that he came into contact with. It has been said that to know him was to love him. Bud was known as being the calm to others’ storms. He went above and beyond in all situations.
He was a devoted member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church where he served as a leader in his Life Group and participated in the Men’s Prayer Breakfast. His big hugs, joking nature and magical spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife and sunshine, Rita Taylor; sons, Shane Taylor and Wade Seymour and his wife, DeeDee; grandchildren, Ty Jones and Cody Seymour; sisters, Barbara Tarpley, Billie Lindsey, K. Starr Murry, Dee Johnson, and Betty Hamett; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a time of visitation at Johnson’s Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 5th. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 6th in the Glen Meadows Baptist Church.
Mark Fisher, Larry Douglas, Matt Damewood, Tom West, James Allbright, Carl Bookter, Bryan Johnson, Landon McMurtrey, David Minton, and Tommy Matthews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Private interment will be held in the Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bishop Street Boot Camp at www.bishopstreetbootcamp.org .
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home of San Angelo.
