Jackson Sadler Broome was born on a hot July 16th, 1933 in San Angelo, TX and passed away on Aug. 2nd, 2018.
His parents were Harold W. Broome and Rosellen Sadler Broome. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Harold W. Broome [Brookie] and sister Rosemary, and a veritable host of much revered kith and kin, about a dozen loving dogs, and two nifty cats. All were important to him.
He is survived by his wife Catherine and her son Constantine A. “Connie” Stewart and his wife Christine Blaser. Other surviving members of his family include nephews; Will Broome and wife Amy, Hal Broome; nieces; Karen Broome Turner and her husband Mike, and Jacquelyn Broome Beeler and her husband Kevin Manhall; nieces and nephews by marriage; Eva Choate and husband Guy, Dr. Dean Moutos and wife Toni, Ellen Lee and her husband Kevin.
Jack Broome proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from Nov. 1953-55 as a radio operator and was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. He owned and operated several businesses, was an avid and accomplished photographer, was well read, traveled extensively, and a talented writer and storyteller.
He will be missed by family and friends.
