Waldine I. Morris was born in McCulloch County on May 7, 1926 to William J. Young and Mabel Swenson Young. The family moved to San Angelo in 1933.
She married Thomas E. Morris September 18, 1943. He passed away February 12, 1969.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Mike Wilson of Kerrville, Norma and Eugene Castleberry of Euless, and her grandson, Thomas E. Castleberry of San Angelo. One sister-in-law, Bonnie Young, as well as nieces, Roz Young and Beverly Hood and nephews Larry and Charles Young also survive her.
Waldine was the Tom Green County Bookmobile Librarian for over 30 years. As an active member of Immanuel, Park Heights and First Baptist Churches, she nurtured many generations of young people.
A visitation for Waldine will be held Wednesday, August 1st from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 10 a.m. in Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to give a special thanks to St. Gabriel's Hospice and Palliative Care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
