Celia Martinez Hamilton, known as “Big” by her grandchildren, 46, of San Angelo, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at her home surrounded by loved ones.
She was born to Oscar and Sara Martinez on September 30, 1971 in Seguin, Texas. Celia married Crispin Sanchez, Jr in San Angelo and through their union, six beautiful children were born.
On February 9, 2007, she married Roy L. Hamilton.
She was a private home caregiver with a heart of gold for ten years, in which she loved caring for her clients.
Family was everything to Celia, whether it was trips to the beaches of California or attending Dallas Cowboys games or concerts she made the best of each moment. Weak and tired, Celia always made spending moments with her family a priority, right until the end.
Celia’s church was a place of enjoyment and fulfillment for her life. God had a plan for her, and she never lost faith in Him, even when it hurt. Celia was proud to be baptized and saved. Celia’s love of life and giving nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Magdaleno and Celia Mercedes Martinez and Domingo and Mary Morales.
Survivors include her husband, Roy L. Hamilton; children and their spouses, Cynthia and David Wright, Angelica and Jeremy Salvato, Celia and Daniel Lara, Serena and Lee Gilbert, Crispin Sanchez, III., and Alex Sanchez; grandchildren, Kaylie, Anberlin, Sadie, Olivia, Colt, Taylor, Mila, Bella, and Kassidy; parents, Oscar and Sara Martinez; siblings, Oscar and Brandy Martinez, Michael Martinez, and Melissa Martinez; her beloved dog, Lily; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
