Teresita Lopez Pelayo Brame, surrounded by her family, ascended into heaven to be with her Lord on Saturday July 21, 2018. Words cannot describe our loss.
Tere was born in Veracruz, Mexico on April 19, 1972, the baby sister of six siblings. She was raised in a traditional warm and loving environment full of rich family values and customs. Tere had many friends while attending high school in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz and soon left home to complete her senior year in Carmel, Indiana as an exchange student.
After graduating from high school in 1991, she attended college at the University of Guanajuato to study a degree in International Business. Her study program included spending almost 2 years at the Ecole Superior de Commerce de La Rochelle in France which led her to receive a double degree in International Business from both universities in 1995. She excelled as a student and was dear friend to everyone she encountered at both universities. Traveling became a part of her life from that then on.
Returning to Mexico she began working for Arthur Anderson Consulting as an International Trade Advisor in Queretaro, Mexico and it was there that she met her prince charming, Luke Brame, who was living and working in Queretaro, and he met the love of his life. In May 2000, Luke and Tere were married in Guanajuato and began their adventure together.
They both lived and worked in Frankfurt, Germany and then Monterrey, Mexico where Tere obtained an MBA degree at the Tec de Monterrey, and then on to Chicago where their son Kevin was born and finally settling in San Angelo where they welcomed the birth of their daughter, Paula.
Together in San Angelo they created a life filled with steadfast friends, community events, children’s activities and meaningful work. Tere was known as a mother that embodied grace, loving kindness, joy and an overwhelming love for her family and those around her. The essence of Tere is what enriched hundreds of people with her strong, kind, loving spirit.
She has given us an example of how to live life to the fullest, always surrounded by loved ones.
Tere was preceded in death by her parents Jose Lopez and Bertha Pelayo, and her brother Alejandro Lopez. Tere is survived by her loving husband Luke Brame, her children Kevin Joseph and Paula Lizette; brothers Enrique Lopez, Juan Carlos Lopez and sister Andrea Lopez; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews in Mexico and Europe; and dearest Dr. Jim Bob Brame and Holly Brame, and the entire Brame and Hilliard families.
Tere left a legacy of strong, dedicated, loving friendships everywhere she went.
She will be terribly missed by all who had the good fortune to know her but she will be cherished for her sparkling smile, warmth, quiet elegance, her kindness to all and her devotion to those she loved. She lived life fully and in her final months she taught us how to face death with courage, grace, serenity and love. We would like to gratefully acknowledge the incredible love, prayers and support from Tere’s family and friends during the last months of life.
