Kenneth Ray VanDeman, 75, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in San Angelo.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21st at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel and graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ivy Cemetery in Christoval, with Pastor R.A. Evans, pastor of Lakeview Bible Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. VanDeman was born March 12, 1943 in Marfa. He has been a resident of San Angelo since the early 1970's. Ken married Wanda Young on February 14, 1993 in San Angelo.
He owned and operated many different businesses in San Angelo including Ken's Appliance and Charcoal House. He was a member of the Concho Valley Archery Club, Devils' Mountain Archery Club and San Angelo Gun Club.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Effie VanDeman and a brother, Doyle VanDeman.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda VanDeman of the home; four daughters, Melissa Flores and husband David of San Angelo, Shawna Delarosa and husband Lupe of Big Lake, Stacy Poynor of Ft. Worth and Tonya Armstrong and husband Luke of Jacksboro; two step-sons, Lee Young of San Angelo and Lenny Young and wife Carol of Ruidoso, New Mexico; a brother, Bubba VanDeman and wife Kareen of Canton, Georgia; a sister, Karen Stephens and husband Gene of Texas City; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 20th from 6-8 p.m., at Robert Massie Funeral Home.
