Ada Lloyd, 98 and 4 days, entered into rest May 29, 2018 at Floresville Nursing Center in Floresville, Texas, after a long battle with dementia.
Ada was born in San Angelo on May 25, 1920 to Eola Holdridge and Collins Canada Morgan. She married Archie Lloyd on July 30, 1939. They shared a great life together until he passed away in 1983.
Ada moved to Elmendorf, Texas in 2009 to live with her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Clarice Lloyd. Ada was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Bert Morgan and his wife Sybil, her brother Bill Morgan and his wife Bette, and son, Richard Lloyd.
She is survived by her son, William Lloyd and wife Clarice of Elmendorf, and daughter, Sidney Gayle Jones and husband, Stan, of Edgewood, NM; 5 grandchildren, 1 step-grandson, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and 2 nephews and their families.
First Assembly of God in San Angelo was a very important part of Ada's life where she made many friends and helped with many activities. She made several trips to California and Washington to visit family. Ada was an avid tennis fan and watched all the matches she could. She was so proud of her family and they all loved her and will miss her.
The family would like to thank all the nurses, CMA's, CNA's and the many friends at Floresville Nursing Center for the great care and love they gave Ada.
A visitation will be held Sunday, June 3rd, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home and a graveside service at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 4th at 10:00 AM with Jim Havlick officiating.
There will be a graveside service to inter the ashes of Ada’s son Richard Lloyd, immediately following her service.
