Paula Smith Hamilton, age 84 of San Angelo, passed peacefully May 17, 2018 after a blessed life.
She was born Sunday, December 31, 1933 in Brady, Texas to the late Perry and Bernice Smith. She was a graduate of Brady High School and studied business at San Angelo College. Paula went to work for the following local CPA's over a long career in accounting ,Marvin Hall, Wylie Webb, Richard Webb, Francis Bachman, Spencer McDonough, and Mr. McClouskey until her retirement.
On August 8th, 1970 she married Aaron D. Hamilton of San Angelo, Texas. She will be remembered for her deep and constant love of her family.
She was a proud woman and strong in her beliefs and there was nothing she wouldn't do for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a talented painter and a member of Brush and Brag paint club where she cherished her time with her daughter, friends and club members .She created the Hen House on North Chadbourne St to accommodate her dearest painting friends and members as well as to have her own special place to get away . She was also very active in quilting and loved taking road trips with the girls in search of fabric and crafts, she also loved her time outside in her garden and would often show off her green thumb .
She is survived by her husband of 47 years Aaron D. Hamilton, children Sherill Wood, Jeff Havard, Perry A. Havard, Randy Havard and spouse Leah Havard, Aaron T. Hamilton and spouse Gilda Hamilton, Nancy Kneupper and spouse Eddie Kneupper. Grandchildren Shawna Wood, Lauren Havard Somers, Heather, Sabrina and Perry Havard, Derian and Caden Havard, Austin and Bryan Hamilton, Brandon Kneupper and Stephanie K. Miller as well as 11 Great Grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens at 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018.
The viewing/visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday May 20, 2018 at Johnson's Funeral Home. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Sagecrest Alzheimer's Memory care Allison house for their loving care of Paula.
