Mora Pool Gober passed from this life into the arms of a loving savior on Friday, March 23, 2018, at the age of 102. Mora was born in San Saba County on December 8, 1915, to Leonard Dalco Pool and Annie Phillips Pool. She was raised on a farm outside of Richland Springs TX, where she attended school and graduated from high school. She married Leonard Gober on January 15, 1938 and they celebrated 73 years of marriage. Mora and Leonard moved to San Angelo in 1948 where they were involved in several businesses and ranching. Her faith in Christ was expressed through her love for her family, her kind and gentle spirit along with her lifelong love of music. Mora played the piano and organ at church, weddings, and teaching the piano and organ. Later on in life, while at Brookdale Assisted Living, she played the piano for visitors and other residents at the age of 100.
Mora was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Gober and son Leonard Dale Gober. She is survived by son Wylie Gober and wife Billie, daughter-in-law Debby Gober, five grandsons: Dwain Gober and wife Susan, Greg Gober and wife Karen, Coy Gober, Cole Gober and wife Carla, and Coty Gober, along with nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 24, 2018.
