Katie Lou Bolton, 83, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in San Angelo. Katie was born January 29, 1935 in San Angelo, Texas to William H. and Adele Rosser Thomason. She married the love of her life, William R. “Bill” Bolton on April 12, 1957 and they shared almost 61 beautiful years together. She was a loving homemaker who devoted her life to her family. As the wife of an airman in the U.S. Air Force she volunteered at the bases where they were stationed and had numerous jobs over 23 years. In 1979, when Katie and Bill returned to San Angelo, she went to work at San Angelo National Bank and worked there until her retirement in 1994. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and shopping. She also enjoyed making new friends wherever she traveled and visiting with people in general. Her favorite music was country and country gospel. Katie had three precious dogs she cherished as well, Gabby, Freckles and Tiny Tim. Her love of her family and her beautiful spirit will live on in our hearts forever! Katie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Doris Bright, her brother’s, Roland Thomason and Garner Thomason and her granddaughter Regina Gilley. She is survived by her husband William R. “Bill” Bolton, of San Angelo; her daughters, Robbin Gray, Ronnie Bolton and Linda Gilley, all of San Angelo; her Grandchildren, Christopher Gilley and Kevin Gray; her nieces and nephew, Gayle Fisher, Mike Bright, Debbie Bright, Pam Phelps, Terry Feathers and Rolanda Thomason. Katie is also survived by a dear friend Pauneece Crabtree. The Graveside Service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bobby Roger officiating.
