Jessie Noema Werst, age 93, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
She was born in Rankin, Texas May 29, 1924. She graduated from McCamey High School. She attended Business College in San Angelo, Texas. Jessie worked a short time at San Angelo National Bank. She met and later married the love of her life, Oliver F. Werst on December 8, 1944 and they shared almost 63 years together before he preceded her in death. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. In her spare time, she loved cooking and sewing. Jessie’s memory will live on in our hearts forever and she will be dearly missed!
She is survived by two daughters, Danna Blair and husband Bill of Sterling City, and Jeanie Blanek and husband Kenny of San Angelo; a son, Mark Werst and wife Janice of San Angelo; three granddaughters, Scarlet Lampier and husband Justin of San Angelo, Laci Chapman and husband Jason of Milano, Texas, and Amanda Frerich and husband Adam of San Angelo; four great grandsons, Sutton Lampier, Garner Chapman, Hayes Chapman, and Oliver Frerich; one great granddaughter, Norah Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver F. Werst, her parents, Jessie Dan and Annie Garner, and her brother, Pat Clinton Garner.
The Graveside Service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 19, 2018 at Fairmount Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Thiebaud officiating.
Arrangements are with Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo.
