Janis Jo Floyd, 69, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in San Angelo, TX. Janis was born June 17, 1948 in San Angelo, Texas to Joe Montgomery, Jr. and Noretta Gene O’Neal Montgomery. She graduated from Kermit High School and went on to attend San Angelo Business College where she received her Associates Degree. She worked for many years at her family’s Title Company, a number of years at Fort Clark Springs doing accounting duties and also for the acting CountyJudge Tim Ward for many years. Janis then became the County Treasurer for Kinney County where she worked until her retirement. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was a woman of great strength with a quiet spirit who believed in hard work and helping others. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, and cooking for her family. Her life and love of family will remain in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss her. Janis was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Neal Montgomery. She is survived by her Sons, Lee Floyd and his wife Rhonda, of San Angelo, Lesly Floyd and his wife Brandi, of San Angelo and Lynn Floyd and his wife Amanda, of Manor, TX; her Grandchildren, Micah and Megan Floyd, Chase, Brady, Riley and Shyanne Floyd, and Reagan, Sydney, Maddox, Brooklynn and Piper Floyd; Her Sister, Linda Allaire and her husband Pat, of Big Sandy, TX; her Sister-in-law, Debbie Montgomery, of Del Rio, TX; and 3 Nieces; and 1 Nephew. The Family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Harper Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Baptist Student Ministry at Angelo State University.
