She had many friends far and wide, loved playing bridge and poker, playing the piano, fishing, and was a Girl Scout leader and camper extraordinaire. She especially loved visiting the Texas coast. John Ross died in 1995 after 54 years of marriage. Virginia then married high school friend James I. Hargis. They moved to San Angelo in 2008 to be near family and attend Holy Angels Catholic Church. Virgina was preceded in death by both her husbands, her daughter Ella Kathleen, her parents, her sister Hazel, a half-sister Billie, and a granddaughter, Cheryl Freeman. She is survived by her daughters Pat O’Brien and Miki Clemens and Miki’s husband Gus of San Angelo. She has four granddaughters, one grandson, seven great-grandsons, four great granddaughters, six great great grandsons and one great great granddaughter.
