Armando R. Hernandez, age 71, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2017, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born in Hidalgo, Texas on November 14, 1945 to Fidel and Feliciana Hernandez. Armando is preceded in death by his parents, Fidel & Feliciana, sister Gloria, sons-in-law Audon Alfaro and Mike Romero, granddaughter Letisha Rojas, his son Armando T. Hernandez and daughter Norma Alfaro Valenzuela. He is survived by his wife Gloria, sons LeeRoy (Laura), Chano (Priscilla) and Richard (Jen), daughters Estella Hernandez, Diane Romero, Elizabeth (Daniel) Carvajal and Irma (Evan) Wilson, 34 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation and viewing will be from 6 pm – 9 pm at Johnson's Funeral Home on Thursday, August 24, 2017. Funeral service will be at Johnson's Funeral Home on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:00 am with burial immediately following at Belvedere Cemetery.
