Steven Myrle Johnson, Sr., 61, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19th, 2017, with his family by his side.
Steve served in the United States Air Force. He was a firefighter and a Purple Heart recipient. After his service he dedicated over 20 years of his life chasing the oilfield dream.
Steve was a loving father, husband, brother, friend, and above all, an incredible grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Pifer, Sr; mother, Jacqueline Woltz Johnson; father, Doyle Johnson; and a brother, Robert L. Pifer, Jr.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Sylvia M. Galan; daughter, Denise Y. Webb and husband Randy; son, Steven M. Johnson, Jr.; daughter, Bridgette L. Balderas and husband David; grandsons, Mikel S. Webb, Alec Johnson Hernandez, Steven M. Johnson, III, Jonathan A. Johnson, David J. Balderas, Jr.; granddaughters Shyanne M. Johnson, Gianna R. Balderas; brothers, John Johnson, Jim Johnson; sister, Diane Brandt; as well as many other loved family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Johnson's Funeral Home on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 12:00pm with graveside services to follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Oklahoma VA Medical Center that tended to him in his final days.
