Tomasa Segura de Garcia, 84, homemaker, of Big Lake, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017. She was born to the late, Mauricio and Petra Carrillo Segura on Thursday, September 22, 1932 in Zacatecas, Mexico. Tomasa married Gil Antonio Garcia on October 18, 1948 in Mexico. She was a lady with a strong will and great faith. She enjoyed spending time gardening, cooking and sewing. Tomasa's loving nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Ascension Garcia and Javier Garcia; and brother, Juan Segura.
Survivors include her husband, Gil Antonio Garcia; children, Rosario Villarreal, Gustavo Garcia, Antonio Garcia, Lupe Garcia, Juan Garcia, Martha Contreras, and Salvador Garcia; 23 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus Church, Big Lake. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM in the church on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 with Pastor Jesus Soliz officiating. Interment will follow in the Glen Rest Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
