Lee Roy Motl, Beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Papaw went to be with His Lord & Savior on March 16, 2017 surrounded by His Loving Family. He was born June 14, 1929 to Henry & Lottie Motl in San Angelo, TX. Growing up on their farm he learned hard work at an early age. He served in the US Air Force for 20 Years, retiring in 1972 and then went to work at Goodyear Proving Grounds and retired in 1987. Lee Roy was an avid fisherman, hunter, trapper and snake hunter. He loved gardening, traveling and camping out with family and friends. A member of Harris Ave Baptist Church for many years, he had a strong faith and was a good Christian man. Preceding him in death was two Sisters, Josephine Brown and Bonnie Johnson, one brother, Ellis Motl, a son, Johnny Kleypas, a daughter, Karla Adams and two great grandchildren, Kye and Abby. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Doris, two daughters, Susan Knight and Debbie Tomerlin (Toot), two sons, Les Motl and Craig Kleypas (Debbie), sisters- in-law, Mary Motl, and Garlene Hawkins (Harvey); twelve grandchildren, James Knight, Wesley Knight, Clayton Motl, Lindsey Motl, Mandi Garcia (Joe), Amber Almedia (Antone), Erika Weidner (Kevin), Brittany Stober (Steven), Kevin Kleypas (Tamra), Kaela Smith (Dustin), Derek Higgins and Heather Rain (Uriah), 22 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends and a fur baby, Sam. The Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, March 20, 2017 at The First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill Proctor officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons- in-law. Honorary pallbearers are James Knight, Wesley Knight and Goodyear Retirees. The Family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Ty Hughston, Staff of Skilled Nursing at St John’s Campus, Kindred Hospice and three Special Ladies, Darlene Williams, Michele MacDougall, and Cayla Schwartz for their excellent care during this difficult time. In lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice or Charity of your choice.
