Phil Cole left this earthly world Monday, February 13th, at his home after a brief illness. Phil was an amazing husband, father, brother and friend. He had a huge heart and always believed the best in people and wanted to help anyone he could.
As for business he was an entrepreneur to say the least. Whether jostling up some rattlesnakes to sell, or collecting quarters all over Texas and New Mexico in his gumball business, Phil worked hard so that no expense was spared on his children or beloved wife of 45 years, Sandy. Out of his many business adventures in life his greatest love was the sheep business and he was proud to see his son carry on the family tradition.
Phil’s most recent project was his beautiful home that he bought for his children and grandchildren to enjoy for many years to come. He loved to tell stories of the old days on the back patio with his friends and family. The stories and the man will be missed but we rejoice at God’s amazing Grace as he reunites with family and friends in heaven.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Bill J. Cole and Sue McEntire Cole.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandy. Daughters Misty Keeney & Husband Monty, children Mason & Myles. Holly Brannan, children Nixon, Jackson, Hayes & Finley Grace Brannan. Son, Sterling Cole & Wife Alicia, children Sutton & Sloan.
The Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Sterling City. The burial will follow at Montvale Cemetery in Sterling City, TX.
Pallbearers are his grandsons, Nixon Brannan & Mason Keeney. Brother, Jimmy Cole; Pat Gully, Vic Choate, Jim Lee, and Drake McKinney
