Davis Duncan, 60, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2017 in San Angelo. Davis was born June 7, 1956 in Brownwood, Texas. He grew up in Brownwood, the only boy in a family of women. As a young man, he achieved his Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Davis very likely learned his work ethic from his grandfather C.Q. Davis, Sr. while he was young, working on the family ranch and boy scouting. Davis graduated from Brownwood High School and went on to attend TexasState Technical Institute in Waco, Texas where he graduated, obtaining his license in the commercial air conditioning business. He worked numerous jobs along the way finally settling in San Angelo. He married the love of his life C. J. Connally on June 30, 1980 and they spent 35 beautiful years together raising two children, Casey and William. Davis founded Duncan Mechanical in 1985. He owned and operated Duncan Mechanical for over 30 years and was very proud of this accomplishment. He was always there for his customers and worked diligently day and night, whenever they needed him. Davis retired in 2015. In his spare time, he loved 4 wheeling and all-terrain vehicles, especially jeeps, boating and getting his pilot’s license and flying air planes. Most of all, Davis loved his family and his work family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a devoted husband, loving father, great brother and a dependable and loyal friend. Davis was a man of his word, and always showed his support to all his family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who loved him and his love will remain in our hearts forever! Davis was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Davis Duncan and his wife C.J. Duncan. He is survived by his son and daughter, William Duncan and Casey Knox Martinez, both of San Angelo; his Sister, Debbie Duncan Jett and her husband Pat Staha, of San Angelo; his Father and Mother-in-law, Billy Ray and T.J. Connally, of San Angelo; and his dear friends, Lynn Bradshaw and her husband Raymond, Patrick Lange and Joe Urbanek; and numerous other close friends he held dear to his heart. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Monday, January 9, 2017 at Harper Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
