Lori Lynn (Rascoe) Potter was born on Sunday, November 12, 1961 in San Angelo, TX to Clyde M. Rascoe and Joanie (Bringolf) Rascoe. She spent her childhood years with the neighborhood kids who later on became lifelong friends. Lori graduated from Central High School in May 1980. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. She spent years in different fields of work and her diverse business ventures gave her the experience to master the field and helped her to create more lifelong friends.
Lori married Dale Potter, June 12, 1982 in San Angelo, TX. They were married for 34 years. Lori and Dale volunteered with the Saturday Ramp Rollers for 10 years.
Lori was known for her creative side and spent many hours throughout her life on projects dedicated to her children, work, and church community. She was a teacher in the HAYO program for 13 years. Lori was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2010 and was a strong fighter throughout it all. The family would like to thank Dr. Carolyn Matthews and nurse, Flor of Dallas, TX, Dr. Raj Cheruku of San Angelo, TX, hospice nurses, Debbie and Shirley, and CNA, Crystal for their help during these last few months of Lori’s life that by no means defined the woman she was.
Lori was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clyde and Joanie Rascoe.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Potter, her daughter Kyrie Villa and her husband John Villa, her son Nolan Potter of San Angelo, her sister Bonn (Art) McSorely of Pittsburgh, PA, her brother Chilton (Joetta) Harris of Garland, TX, her aunts Betty(Nelson) Dunn of Arlington, TX, and Aunt Doris Bringolf Of Houston, TX, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rosary services will be at Holy Angels Catholic Church on Monday, November, 28, 2016 starting at 7:00pm. Funeral and Columbarium services will be at Holy Angels Catholic Church on Tuesday, November, 29, 2016 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity of your choice.
