Paul E. Davis, 85, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2016 in San Angelo. Paul was born July 26, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to Clarence B. and Mary Anderson Davis. He grew up in Akron, Ohio and after high school at the age of 20 was drafted into the Korean War. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1951 – 1953. After returning home, he attended Kent State University and worked for Goodyear. Upon receiving his degree, he went into engineering cost as a cost accountant and worked for Goodyear for 41 years until his retirement. In 1959, he married Kathleen White and they shared 57 beautiful years together, raising two children, John and Paula. They moved to San Angelo in 1979 and made their home here for 37 years. Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather who devoted his life to his family. He was also a member of The Pride of Fleet Group where he served as president for a number of years, and a volunteer for 15 years at San Angelo Community Medical Center. Paul’s giving nature and generous love for others will remain in our hearts forever! He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen W. Davis, of San Angelo; his Son, John Davis, of New York; his Daughter Paula Davis, of San Angelo; his Grandchildren, Joseph Haiden and Maya Haiden; one niece and several nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Beaver officiating. Interment will take place at a later time at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meals for The Elderly in San Angelo or a favorite charity. The family would like to express their sincerest thanks and appreciation to Kindred Hospice, Regency House and Encompass Home Health for all of the loving care given to Paul.
