Georgia Mae Hettick, 82, died October 7, 2016 in San Angelo, Texas. Her memorial service will be held on Monday, October 10 at 10 a.m. at Johnson Street Church of Christ.
Georgia was born on May 4, 1934 in Las Cruces, NM to George and Dorothy Coburn Hatcher. She graduated from Central High School in Fresno, CA and later attended College of the Sequoias. She met Larry Hettick at the Palm Avenue Church of Christ in Fresno. They were married on August 27, 1954 and began to start a family together.
The couple moved to Visalia, CA in 1965 where Georgia and Larry continued to raise their four boys. They lived in Visalia until their move to Wall, TX 40 years later.
Georgia has been a faithful member of the Church of Christ all of her adult life. Her faith and her family played central roles in her life.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Larry, and her granddaughter Heather. She is survived by her husband Larry of 62 years; her siblings Mary Murphy and her husband Ron, Ralph Hatcher and his wife Connie, Floyd Hatcher and his wife Jo, Linda Hatcher, and Virginia Hatcher; her children Larry II, James, Michael and his wife Anne, as well as David and his wife Tracy; and her grandchildren Michael II, Mark, Bryan, Brandon and his wife Jessica, Andrew, and Benjamin.
