Sadie Hejl Havlak beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord on Sunday September 25, 2016 at the age of 93 in San Angelo. She was born June 25, 1923 in Taylor, Texas to Jim and Annie (Dusek) Hejl. She grew up in Taylor, Wall and Miles Texas. She married the love of her life, Philip Jacob Havlak on February 1, 1942. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage before Philip passed away May 2, 2007. They lived in El Paso, Rowena, Miles and San Angelo. Throughout her life she was a homemaker and when she was younger she enjoyed sewing and cooking and helped work the farm. She also enjoyed playing cards and games with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Philip Havlak, son-in-law Francis A. Fischer, a great granddaughter Rebecca Alberts and sisters Annie Wanoreck, Elsie Moeller, Bertha Holubec and a brother Jerry Hejl.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Barbara Ann Fischer of Duncan Oklahoma, Roberta Ann Rottman and her husband Jeffrey, Jeanne Marie Alberts and her husband Jerry, and her son Randy Wayne Havlak, all of San Angelo. She also had four grandchildren Barnice (Cass) Agee of Duncan Oklahoma, Wayne (Amy) Fischer of Miles, Jacob (Laura) Alberts of Olfen, and Matthew (Christina) Rottman of San Antonio. She had thirteen great grandchildren, they are Tommy, Kaitlin, and Shane Agee, Sarah, Kyle and Travis Fischer, Landon, Kaitlyn, Braydon, Meagan, Nathan and Ashlyn Alberts, and Philip Jack Rottman.
Surviving brothers and sisters are Ruby Bryant, Dorothy Harmon, Stanley Hejl, Mary Ann Harmon, Ervin Hejl and Lorene Snodgrass, all of San Angelo, and all of her numerous in-laws and nieces and nephews.
A Catholic Rosary will be held 7:00pm Wednesday September 28, 2016 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.
A Mass for Christian Burial will be held 10:00am Thursday September 29, 2016 at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Church with Very Rev. Steven Hicks, officiating. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in San Angelo.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Fischer, Jake Alberts, Matthew Rottman, Cass Agee, Dennis Havlak and : Jimmy Hejl.
The family would like to give special thanks to Regency House of San Angelo for their care of Sadie during the last few years, and Hospice of San Angelo for their care the last few weeks.
