Victor Garcia Sevier, 84, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on August 16, 2016.
He was born on December 23, 1931, in Christoval, Texas. Victor worked for Santa Fe Railroad Company and for Armour Meat Packing Company in Fort Worth, Texas. He served in the United States Army for two years during the Korean War. In 1978, Victor owned and operated well known restaurant, Vic and Sal’s Kitchen, for ten years.
Victor was a faithful son who cared for his aging parents. He married Celia D. Sevier on January 1, 1959 and they were married for 57 years. Victor and Celia raised five children and provided a great model of love and service. His greatest joy was spending time with his four grandchildren. Victor was an accomplished musician. He was in various musical groups and he played for the funeral and music ministries at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Victor is preceded in death by his youngest son, David Ray Sevier, and his parents, Napoleon and Inez Sevier, his brothers, Silvano and Lassaro (L.G.) Sevier, and his sisters, Otilla (Tila) Coronado and Martha (Marti) Soliz.
Victor is survived by his beautiful wife, Celia Sevier of San Angelo, Texas. Surviving children are Victor M. and wife, Carla Sevier, of Austin, Texas, Angelita Sevier, of Austin, Texas, Patricio Sevier, of Vancouver, Washington, and Imelda Sevier Peterson and husband Roderick Peterson of Kennedale, Texas. Surviving grandchildren are Tamara Sevier, Victoria and husband Cody Baker, of Austin, Texas, and Aubrey Wellington “Wells” Peterson of Kennedale, Texas and Alexander Rey Sevier, of Fort Worth, Texas.
Rosary is on Thursday, August 18th at Robert Massie Funeral Home at 7:00 pm. The funeral is on Friday, August 19th at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 2:00 pm under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
