Margie Moore, 89, of Colorado City, TX passed away Friday, July 22, 2016. She was born March 1, 1927 to Joe and Bobbie Perkin in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was a homemaker and a very talented seamstress, who also enjoyed doing various crafts and gardening. Margie's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She married the love of her life Sam M. Moore on June 1, 1946 in San Angelo, TX; he preceded her in death on February 12, 2008. Margie was also preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, David Burnett; and brother, Jack Perkin. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Leslie Moore Geiger and husband Dale of Colorado City, TX and Sherry Moore Burnett-Bruce and husband Andy of Lakeland, FL; granddaughters, Lauren Perkins Munoz and husband Robert of Loraine, TX, Carrie Perkins Erwin and husband John of Lubbock, TX, Amy Burnett Gaughf and husband Grant of Tallahassee, FL, and Allison Burnett Venturo and husband Julio of Jacksonville, FL; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Jones and husband Bill of Mesquite, TX; brother, Rick Perkin and wife Patty of Colorado City, TX, and numerous special nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
