Carlisle G. Williams, Jr., 87, of San Angelo formerly of Abilene went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 30, 2016 in San Angelo surrounded by his family. Carl was born December 15, 1928 in Brownsville, TX to Carlisle G. Williams, Sr. and Kathryn Creager Williams. Carl met and later married the love of his life, Bonnie Lou Smith. They were married on March 3, 1950 in McAllen, Texas and shared 65 beautiful years together. He served his country Honorably in the United States Army. At the age of 72, Carl retired from ABTEX Beverage Company in Abilene, TX, after many years of service. Carl was a loving husband and father who devoted his life to his wife and children. He was a true outdoorsman, who enjoyed RVing, hunting, fishing and playing golf in his spare time. Carl also had a tremendous love of spending time on the beach with his wife and dogs. We will dearly miss our beloved father. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bonnie and one sister, Mary Alice Williams. He is survived by his children, Andy Williams and his wife Valerie, of San Antonio, Nina Coward and her husband Jim, of San Angelo and Libby Probandt and her husband Ed, of San Angelo; 7 Grandchildren, Ben Williams, Scott Williams, Emily Baker, Derek Williams, Katie Mostert, Bobby Mostert and Kenny Mostert; 4 Great Grandchildren. The Graveside Service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Fairmount Cemetery with Rev. Janice Six officiating. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the caregivers at New Haven and Hospice of San Angelo for all of the loving care given to Carl.
