Beverly (Bev.) J. Mateo passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday June 22, 2016 at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was an active member of the Community Bible Church in San Antonio, TX. and attended Word of Life Assembly of God in San Angelo, TX.
Beverly was the wife of the late Thurston Springer and of the late Edward Mateo. She was born on September 1, 1938 in Bellingham, Washington to the late Wilbur and Dorothy (Mayo) Chapin. She was a longtime employee of KCTV (now KLST) television station, and KGKL radio station both in San Angelo. She was also member of the San Angelo chapter of REACT. An avid and talented gardener, numerous people enjoyed and relaxed around the beauty she fashioned throughout her homes. Beverly loved the San Antonio Spurs and took great pleasure in following the team and watching the games. We will miss her enthusiasm and knowledge of "her team".
