Dorothy Mae McNally, 84, of San Angelo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 30, 2016 in San Angelo. Dorothy was born February 25, 1932 in Marlin, Texas to Lee Chance and Della Mae (Tate) Chance. Dorothy was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother being the glue that kept our family together with love and prayer. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago. She was known to many in the community as a missionary, youth teacher and prayer warrior. Dorothy was a retired head start teacher of over 25 years. She loved children and loved teaching them. She was always a woman of strong faith and was a milestone in many lives. We feast from the many great memories that have been shared with our mother, never to be forgotten. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Della and Lee Chance, her sisters, Leona Harrington, Doris Walker and Linda Darlene Hammork. Her brothers, Robert Chance, Samuel Chance, James Ray Chance and Charles Chance, and one grandson, Reginald McNally. She is survived by her loving family, Daughters, Debra Johnson (Bennie,) of San Angelo and Joyce Brawley (Royal,Sr.,) of Big Spring; her son, Pastor Jerome McNally (Bethine,) of Big Spring; 6 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; her Sister, Evelyn Louise Chance, of San Angelo. Dorothy is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M., Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 11:30 A.M., Friday, June 3, 2016 at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ with Rev. Jackie Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
