Dale Dennis, 77, longtime resident and business owner in Arlington and surrounding areas, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, May 5, 2016 in Arlington, Texas. He was born to the late, John Henry Zacharias "Zach" and Zela Mary Welborn Dennis on Sunday, August 28, 1938, in Iredell, Texas. Dale left his childhood home at a very early age. He was a driven and resourceful man, having only a 3rd grade education, he went on to own and operate numerous businesses throughout his lifetime, including Service Company Unlimited, Dennis Appliances, and Lone Star Sheet Metal, to name a few. Dale was a lover of life, travel, and change. He has been described as being charismatic, strong willed, independent, giving, and yet could also be demanding. Often you either wanted to hug or kick him. He enjoyed family and friends alike, often creating extended family through his friendships. His animals were a high priority in his life as well; all endured his great lectures and medical care. No matter the length of his impact or the time in which he entered or exited your life, he impacted you in a lasting manner. On January 15, 1982, in Duncanville, Texas he began his life, with the love of his life, Mary Kathleen "Kathy/Didi" Hanna. They shared a life full of ups and downs as well as adventures, but always a life of love and dedication to one another, until the time of her death in 2009. In 1990, they both joined the Catholic faith, becoming members of St. Jude's Catholic Church, Mansfield. Dale will be missed greatly by many and remembered by even more. He leaves behind a lesson in new beginnings and loving beyond circumstance.
