Caldwell, James Travis “Jim”, 90, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in San Angelo. Jim was born March 3, 1926 in Martin County, Texas to Rhuben Allen Caldwell and Mary Emma Reynolds Caldwell. Jim served his country proudly and honorably in the United States Army during WWII, from 1944 to 1946. He became a Master Mason on March 16, 1964 and was affiliated with the Masonic Lodges in the cities where he lived. Jim worked as a Barber for over 50 years in numerous cities, owning a barber shop and beauty shop in Ozona and a shop Big Spring. He was a loving son, brother and husband, who devoted his life to his family and friends. He loved the Lord and was proud to be a member of Southgate Church of Christ and was Baptized into Christ in July of 2015. Jim had many hobbies but his favorites were watching baseball, playing the guitar, wood working and traveling all over. Jim was also a strong man of faith and his love and his spirit will live on in us and we will dearly miss him! He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lela Irene Caldwell, and two brothers, Rhuben Talmadge Caldwell and Lee Edward Caldwell. He is survived by his loving wife, Cleola Grigg Caldwell, of San Angelo; his Children, Sandra Womak, of Lubbock, Gary Neal Grigg and his wife Evalie, of San Angelo and Jana Viglicky and her husband Anthony, of Lubbock; 9 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great, Great Granchild. He is also survived by 3 Nephews and 6 Nieces. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Monday, May 2, 2016 at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Southgate Church of Christ with Paul Shero officiating. The Graveside Service will be 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ozona, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the San Angelo Christian Academy.
