Wilda Euliss Ratliff was born in Phoenix, Missouri to Richard Sewel and Effie Marie Euliss on June 19, 1927 and passed from this life on April 22, 2016. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Elmer Ratliff, for sixty-five years. Wilda is survived by two daughters, Karen Brothers and husband Harold Brothers and Myra Harrell and husband Rocky Harrell. She had 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Ratliff and her parents Richard Sewel Euliss and Effie Marie Euliss.
Wilda graduated from Kermit High School in Kermit, Texas. She and Elmer moved to Denver City, Texas in 1952. She attended the Denver City Church of Christ. During her time there she worked with Betty and Edgar Self at Collins Department Store. She loved this job and the people with whom she worked. She was a great cook and seamstress. She made almost all dresses for her two daughters as well as formals for banquets and a wedding dress.
She and Elmer moved to Midland, Texas in 1979. They enjoyed their years in Midland. She attended Fairmont Park Church of Christ. When they retired they began spending 6 months a year in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. They loved this time and made many dear friends.
In 2012 Elmer and Wilda moved to San Angelo, Texas. Elmer suffered a stroke in 2008 and Wilda served as his caregiver until his passing. Wilda was under the care of New Haven Assisted Living and Kindred Hospice at the time of her passing.
. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.
