Marilyn Joan Wilson, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in San Angelo, Texas. She was born to the late, Mark Welford and Vida May Foster Renfro on February 11, 1934 in Hugoton, Kansas. Marilyn worked as a nurse at various local facilities and ran an in home day care for a number of years. She was a member of Word of Life Church. She had a passion for caring for children, baking, letter writing and all church activities. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Dean Wilson; and siblings, Dorothy Mitchell and Maurice Renfro.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lynn Wilson; son, Mark Leslie Wilson; grandchildren, Jasmine Marie Wilson, Lily Nicole Wilson, Jason Wayne Carter, and Jody Lynne Carter; siblings, Albert Eugene Renfro and wife, Treva, and Shirley Louise Brown and husband, Jack; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A time of open visitation will be held throughout the day on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2015 in the Word of Life Church. Interment will follow in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
