Alcario G. Cardenas, 81, of San Angelo, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at a local nursing home.
He was born on April 3, 1934 to Zaragoza and Maria (Gomez) Cardenas in Ballinger, TX. Alcario worked as a carpenter for most of his life. After retiring, Alcario became an avid golfer, he loved spending time with his golfing buddies.
Alcario is survived by Connie Garza; three daughters, Irma C. Carrasco, Lisa C. Daniels all of San Angelo; Sylvia Ramon of Durango, CO; four sons, Eddie Cardenas, Mario Cardenas, Orlando Cardenas all of San Angelo; Rene Cardenas of New York, NY; mother of his children, Isabel Bejil of San Angelo; four sisters, Mary Sanchez, Alicia Martinez, Yolanda Wellner all of San Angelo, Armida Renteria of Del Rio; three brothers, David Cardenas, Zaragoza Cardenas, Jr. and Gustavo Cardenas all of San Angelo; seventeen grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by father, Zaragoza Cardenas, mother, Maria (Gomez) Cardenas, son, Alcario Cardenas, Jr., brothers, Abel Cardenas and Saul Cardenas.
Viewing will start 11:00am Saturday, March 12th at Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Prayer service will be held at 6:00pm on Sunday, March 13th at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Ignacio Hernandez, officiating under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
