Our mom was a woman of strong faith and enjoyed sharing her passion for Jesus with others. Always one who loved being around people, she often shared her heritage about growing up during the depression farming with her family. Mom loved to share her story of her salvation; she accepted Jesus at the early age of eight during a camp revival which changed her life forever. Mom’s strength and wisdom held each of us together with her unwavering faith in God. She was our mom, a loving caring grandmother and great grandmother who led and shaped the lives of each of us and our children until her final day. Her most important role in life was to make sure that all her family could be with her in heaven.
Mom enjoyed a long career with GTE and loved to sing, sew, quilt and spend time with her family, sisters, and dear friends. Most of all she loved to Praise her Lord, we would often hear her singing hymns in the kitchen or driving in the car. Mom’s charm and charisma could light up a room and if you met her, she would remember you. She was was truly blessed and was blessing to countless people. Juanita June or Nina as her grandchildren and great grandchildren knew her was a remarkable woman who brought joy to others, there was never dull moment around her. Her personality was infectious and laughter was always abound.
We want to express our appreciation to Dr. Siobhan Kehoe and the UT Southwestern Medical Center of Dallas for their extraordinary care and compassion, along with Dr. Raj Cheruku of the Shannon Medical Center, and the angels of San Angelo Hospice.
