Paula Segale Parker White Schmidt left her residence in Eaton, Colorado to join the Lord on February 20, 2016 at the age of 63. Paula was born in San Angelo, TX on April 23, 1952. She was the oldest of four siblings and had wonderful parents, Jake and Dorthe McClure of Bronte, TX.
She loved to tell stories and share moments about her childhood growing up in Tennyson and Bronte. She was a published author and an avid writer of some of the most deep and beautiful poetries, songs, and writings. Her writings were dedicated to the Lord, her family, and friends. She was excited about several projects she had been working on. Besides writing her passions were to spend time with the Lord, her family, and friends to just visit; always doting on her three precious grandchildren. Her random and unannounced phone calls were always a delight.
In 1968, she married James Edward “Ed” White and had a marriage of twenty-five years until Ed went to be with the Lord in 1993.
In 1998, she married Mike Schmidt who would selflessly dedicate his life and love to her and whom she would spend the rest of her days with.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Dorthe McClure and nephew Joe Dan Parker.
Paula is lovingly remembered by her husband, Mike Schmidt of eighteen years, daughter, Kathy Gibler, son-in-law, Matt Gibler, daughter, Kristy Zadra, step sons, Michael Jr., Justin, and Nicholas Schmidt, grandsons, Skylar and Bryar Gibler, granddaughter, Kaitlyn Zadra, brother, Danny Parker, sister, Denise Porter, brother-in-law, Clint Porter, brother, Cody McClure, MariFran and Joey, nieces, Gale Jackson and Daisy Hopkins, nephews, Jerrod, Jesse, C.J., and Stormy McClure.
Paula was a loving, wonderful, and devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved like Jesus does.
