Loleta Dempsey Davis joined her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in Bryan Texas.
Loleta was born to Albert T and Lola Bullock Burleson April 14, 1928 in Ft. McKavett in the Long building. Loleta married Tom Dempsey December 29, 1945 and raised their four children in Eldorado Texas.
Loleta was resilient, loved to have fun and devoted to her family. Loleta taught her children to care for others, work hard and appreciate all the blessings they were given. Because of her example her Christian heritage will continue for generations. She will be loved eternally because of her love and faith in God.
Loleta is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Alberta and Beverly; two husbands, Tom Dempsey and Horace Davis; son, Dwain Dempsey and grandson, Scott Dempsey.
She is survived by brother, Jim Burleson and wife Bettye of Bangs, Texas; son, Tom (Mike) Dempsey and wife Leesa of San Angelo Texas; daughter, Tommye Nance and husband Jeff of Tahoka Texas; daughter, Elaine Smith and husband Edward of Bryan, Texas. In addition, Loleta has six grandchildren, Trey Nance and wife Trista of Allen, Texas, Michael Nance of California, Misty Nance of Lubbock, Texas, Dustin Dempsey and wife Shana of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Edward Smith and wife Marcy of Austin, Texas, Jonathan Smith and wife Amber of Richmond, Texas and nine great grandchildren.
Loleta will be interred with graveside services in Eldorado Texas Friday February 5 at 1:00 pm
