Pastor Robert H. Rodriguez, a devout Christian and man of integrity, went home peacefully, surrounded by his family, into the care of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the age of 67. Pastor Robert was born on February 22, 1948 in Plainview, Texas to Pablo and Ysidra Rodriguez and was raised by his maternal grandparents, Braulio and Rafaela Hernandez. He met and married the love of his life, Anita Alvarado on October 24, 1969 in San Angelo. They had 46 wonderful years together. They were blessed with a son and daughter upon which they built a loving and Godly legacy for them to carry forward. Robert pastored Alpha and Omega Hope of Glory Church for 23 years. He was always appreciative of the life the Lord gave him and his faith never wavered. He had a great love for music, playing the guitar, and singing for the Lord. He used this gift which the Lord gave him to share the gospel with those at church and nursing homes. One of Robert's favorite activities was football. He loved playing football as a young man in school. That love of football stayed with him past his school years. He enjoyed watching football games and rooting for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Robert touched a lot of lives and was an inspiration to those of us who knew him. He was an earthly angel sent from God who has now been promoted to watch over all of us from heaven. Although Robert's earthly body expired, his light will remain with all who shared his love. He was a faithful servant of God, a devoted husband, a loving Dad, Grandpa, uncle and friend to many whom he helped through his ministries. He will be missed by all who knew him. Robert viewed life in the following way: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21 (KJV)
