Mary Anne Bailey, 81 of San Angelo, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Monday, December 21, 2015 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with Jim Havlick officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Services are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mary was born January 25, 1934 in Roby to John Reagan and Beatrice Dutton Holcomb. She married Ronald B. Bailey on June 15, 1951 in Galveston. Mary Anne grew up in the downtown area of San Angelo. She loved to recall memories about many of the old buildings downtown and visit about their history. She worked at the Texas Den Café and here is where she met her husband of 64 years when she made him a flaming sundae. Mary Anne was a devoted mother and homemaker. Mary Anne had many talents. One of her favorite pastimes was playing the piano. She never had any lessons but played by ear. Mary Anne also self-taught herself to play the harmonica. She could play both at the same time. Mary Anne was an artist as well. She loved to sketch and paint on canvas. Mary Anne was very creative with a sewing machine and crocheted too. One of her greatest loves was of animals. Mary Anne cared for them as she would her children.
Mary is survived by: loving husband of 64 years, Ronald B. Bailey, children Darrell Lynn Bailey and wife Cindy, Denette Renee Trimble and husband Jym, and Darren Lee Bailey and wife Shelly, grandchildren Justin Parsley, Marisha Bailey, Brendi Parsley, Warren Bailey, Michael Trimble, Jeffrey Trimble, Jaymie Trimble, Blair Trimble, and Gaeron Cooley, great-granddaughter Emerson Trimble, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded by: her parents, daughter Shanna Tyline Bailey, and sisters Gloria Huckaby and Geneva Holcomb.
Pallbearers will be: Darren Lee Bailey, Justin Parsley, Warren Bailey, Jeffrey Trimble, Mack Henry, Jym Trimble, and Josh Pritchett.
