Jimmy Don Arnn, 85 of San Angelo passed away on December 14, 2015. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on September 1, 1930 to the late E.F. Arnn and Ethel Arnn. Jimmy graduated from San Angelo High School. He married Shirley McDonald Arnn on July 7, 1948. Jimmy received an honorable discharge from the Navy and worked at Goodyear Proving Grounds for 37 years. He had a passion for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved golf and the Dallas Cowboys. Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Arnn. He is survived by his son, Chris Arnn and his wife Gayle Arnn of Austin; his daughter, Ginger Bright and her husband Jim Bright of San Angelo, three grandchildren, Chris Bright and his wife Stephanie of San Angelo, Jason Bright of San Angelo, and Sara Arnn Allard and her husband Patrick Allard of Austin. Five great grandchildren, Lilliann Bright of San Angelo, Laurel Allard, Hayden Allard, Sutton Allard, and Walker Allard all of Austin. He is also survived by one sister Billye Arnn Doria of Kingston, New York and a host of other relatives.
A time of visitation was held last evening with his beloved wife, Shirley, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside Services for Jimmy and Shirley will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo, with Rev. Bill Harris officiating, under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Meals for the Elderly, Hospice of San Angelo, or St. Luke's United Methodist Church
