She will have no fear of bad news; her heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Psalm 112:7
Our beautiful mother went home peacefully Saturday, December 12 , 2015 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by her family.
Senaida was born May 10, 1941 in San Angelo, to Jesus and Manuela Pena Rodriguez. She married Daniel Perez Martinez on February 7, 1957. They were married 51 years before his passing. Together they had 6 children. She attended San Angelo Schools and at a very early age, she began working the cotton fields with her parents. She also worked at Ethicon, Levi Strauss, RG Barry, and most recently was a caregiver. She always had a very strong work ethic and hardworking hands earning her several awards. She was a model employee. She was such a joy to be around, always pleasant, a woman of strong faith, a woman of great character always putting others needs before her own, a woman who led by example. If you were around her or visited her, you never wanted to leave her. Her home was open to everyone and you never left hungry. She was an excellent cook and baker. She made the best homemade tamales and pecan pies. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was a woman of many passions, but none greater than the love for her family. No matter what storm came, mom always had a beautiful smile and a heart full of love. Mom fought a fearless battle with cancer, never wavering in her faith. She was a true prayer warrior and will be greatly missed by all.
Senaida was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel in 2008, her son Oscar R. Martinez, her brother Louis Rodriguez, and her great-granddaughter Priscilla Molina.
