Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend was called to be with the Lord on December 4th. He was known by many names and many people, but loved by everyone who knew him.
Frank James (Jimmy) Morales Jr. was born April 22nd 1938, in Brady, Texas, to the late Frank James Sr. and Andrea Rodriguez Morales. He graduated from San Angelo High School in 1956. Jimmy met the love of his life, Eva Rodriguez at Little Mexico Restaurant in 1959, where they both worked, and later married June 25th 1960.
Throughout his life Jimmy displayed his many talents which included: a cook in the Army, a machine operator at Terrel manufacturer, a licensed barber, an upholsterer, a tool maker at Ethicon and serving in the St. Mary's funeral ministry for 19 years. When he wasn't working or volunteering, he loved tending his ranch in Ft. McKavett and raising goats. He retired after 29 years of service in the Army National Guard, and in addition retired from Ethicon after 26 years.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Frank James Morales Sr. and Andrea Rodriguez Morales; his brother Rudy Morales; and sisters Magdalena M. Little and Betty Jean Pawelek. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eva Morales; his daughter Elva Rood (Charles) and his son Thomas Morales (Darlene). He is also survived by his siblings: brothers Alfred Morales (Delia) and Robert Morales (Rosario) and sisters Teresa M. Dela Rosa and Ofelia Walker (Dwayne) ; grandchildren Leslie Kaigler (KD), Dr. Angela Rood-Keith (Dr. Kevin Keith) and Captain Patrick Rood (Kimberly); as well as great-grandchildren Ryan Ruiz, Charlotte Rood, Austin Rood & LB Keith. In addition he left behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored.
We would like to thank the staff at Shannon Hospital for their care and compassion over the last several years and most recently to Senior Care. With special thanks extended to the staff of the sixth floor who spent the most difficult hours with us and our loved one.
Pallbearers are: Patrick Rood, Ryan Ruiz, Jimmy Rodriguez, Rick Morales, Robby Morales and KD Kaigler. Honorary Pallbearers are: Carlos Garza, Jose Cabral, Oscar Flores, Dr. Randy Snyder and Danny Nuñez
Recitation of the holy rosary will be at 7 p.m., Monday, December 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona and Father Tom Barley officiating. Burial will follow in Morales Ranch Cemetery at the family's ranch in Ft. McKavett.
