Olga Loredo Ferriere, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at her home in San Antonio, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on Wednesday, February 24, 1943 in Eden, Texas to the late, Cleofas and Erlinda Garcia Loredo. Olga grew up in San Angelo and graduated from Central High School. She married the love of her life, Jean-Paul Ferriere on Saturday, August 20, 1966 in the Goodfellow AFB Chapel. Olga worked as a nurse (LVN) for over 35 years in San Angelo, Carlsbad, Connecticut and New York. She was known for having a poetic heart and the ability to make a joke from the simplest of things. She showed her love through cooking and baking for family and friends. For years, she enjoyed crafts of all kinds and watching her shows on television. Olga's fun loving nature and giving spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Mario Loredo.
There will be a time of visitation where the family will accept friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, November 30, 2015 in the Johnson's Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, San Angelo with Fr. Emilio Sosa serving as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery, San Angelo.
Survivors include her husband, Jean-Paul Ferriere; children and their spouses, Andre Jean Ferriere (Kathy) and Katrin Olga D'Ambra (Arthur); grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Hernandez, Jonathon Tyler Hernandez, and Kieran Holt Ferriere; siblings and their spouses, Abel Loredo (Alea) and Rose Mary White (Dave); numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
