Doris Trimble, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 12, 2015. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Miles Cemetery with Reverend James Mitchell officiating. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
Doris was born on July 20, 1932 to William and Lena Humphrey in Spur, Texas. She grew up in Cisco and graduated from Cisco High School where she met and married the love of her life, John Trimble.
She was a loving wife and mother and her family was always her first priority. She loved quilting and sewing and spent many hours sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren, as well as all of the doll clothes for the little ones. In her free time she enjoyed sitting and watching her hummingbirds. Doris was also known for her great cooking abilities and everyone will miss her home cooked meals.
Doris worked for many years as a realtor in San Angelo and Big Spring and later worked for nine years during the summer at Brown’s Pool where she loved being around all the children.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, John Trimble of Miles; son, Mike Trimble of San Angelo; daughter, Karan Goetz of San Angelo; grandchildren, Terry Trimble, Kristin Trimble, Jason Goetz and Shauna Yeager; six great grandchildren.
